5. A quick word of advice for future adapted minors or for parents looking for an adapted PE professional.

Network, network, network. It is critical in today’s employment environment to utilize all of your contacts to help find employment.

Be flexible. You may not get a job doing exactly what you want, but can be creative to develop a niche that is close to the type of job you are looking for.

Be patient. Things happen for a reason. You never know what will present itself over time.
Promote yourself. There is such a need for adapted PE, but people don’t know that it’s available and/or needed. Remind people that your skills are very similar to OT and PT professions, at a fraction of the cost.
